Chris Funkhouser (who seriously brought the funk!) was amazing to work with! During our consultations he was able to answer all our questions and concerns. He was able to put his swing on things from his experience to help provide the right vibes we were looking for. We pretty much already knew all the songs that we wanted to play so the program they used was perfect! It was detailed in the timing of the night, how long or short to play songs and any other special requests we wanted to have. On the night of the wedding, Chris was a blast -energetic, observant, and focused on keeping the dance floor alive all night long. He even joined us out there, helping to keep the party going strong! He was able to use his best judgement in placing some of the lighting and monogram details we chose which turned out great! Thanks to their Venue Match service, we found our dream spot—the Prospect Park Boathouse. It was exactly what we envisioned: beautiful, intimate, and full of charm. Mostest made the process so easy by narrowing down options based on our style and budget, which saved us hours of research and back-and-forth on quotes. My favorite part of the service was contract review, where they breakdown each line of the contract so nothing surprised us. We also used their Day-of Coordination, and honestly, I wasn’t sure what to expect when they recommended a Junior Coordinator too. Our wedding had two locations—ceremony and reception—and having a point person at each site was a total game-changer, so I'm glad they guided us. It meant everything ran smoothly, and I didn’t get bombarded with questions or last-minute details. The Junior Coordinator handled all the logistics at the ceremony while the lead coordinator managed things at the reception. If your budget allows it, splurge for this add on for sure. “We absolutely loved working with The Hook Club. Our amazing planner, Greenhouse Events, recommended THC, and we were sold immediately after meeting with Dan. He is super relaxed, nice, and so knowledgable. Dan and THC team made planning super easy for us. They took time to hear about our hopes and helped recommend different band sizes for us. We hadn’t heard of a DJ band before, but loved the idea of some live music with the versatility to play all sorts of music, but our venue wasn’t very big and we also didn’t want to break the bank and hire a huge band. We chose the 4 piece DJ band with singer, sax, drums, and DJ. We knew we LOVED the sax, so we also had the sax play for cocktail hour (shout out to Elijah, who was amazing), and it was one of the best parts of the night. For planning music, they sent out a very detailed and thorough spreadsheet with more songs than one could imagine, and we could rate ones we liked the most, choose ones we definitely wanted or didn't, and choose specific songs for important moments. We met a couple times to review music choices as well. One of our biggest fears with a DJ was that they'd talk too much and be a little annoying, but Dan did a great job as MC, and was very low-key like we asked but announced important moments clearly. Dan and all the musicians had such great energy and got everyone on the dance floor. Our vocalist, Christen, was also amazing — her voice was spectacular, and she was such an amazing performer and got everyone involved in the music and dancing. So many people told us how much they loved the music and the energy, and had never heard of a DJ band but thought it was an amazing concept and the addition of live music over tracks added extra excitement and fun. THC also helped out with lighting (uplights and dance lights), and worked with our fantastic planner and the venue to help us decide the best setup. Ultimately, we loved working with THC. Their DJ-band setup is unique and adds so much variety to your music while allowing for some of the energy that comes from live performers. We danced the night away and had an absolute blast. 100% would recommend THC to anyone!”

We had him play acoustically for before our ceremony, during our ceremony, and at the cocktail hour. He even learned a song especially for the wedding party processional that we requested. He is so talented! He also wrote an original song for us to dance to at the wedding. Definitely a must! My fiancé hadn't heard it before the wedding so it made for a very special moment. JJ was great at reading the crowd on the dance floor during the reception. I had so many compliments about the music and how full the dance floor was all night long. “Just rent the flowers y’all - after getting multiple thousands of dollars in quotes from florists for our tiny dinner party wedding I started to look for other options. SSB had great reviews, in person or zoom consultations and a VERY helpful FB group that helped me pull the trigger even being pretty skeptical that the quality wouldn’t be there. Fast forward to the day I unboxed them and I was floored, some of the petals even FEEL REAL. Don’t know how they do it. Shipping was easy, fast and return labels were in sticker form to just pop back on. Our guests had no idea they weren’t real, especially with our low light reception it was impossible to tell. It was a breezed - we spent about 450 for 9 large centerpieces, bouquet and a few boutonnières for the guys from the Marlowe collection rather than the 2-3k quite well we’re getting from florists here in Atlanta that at the end of the day aren’t sustainable and would have looked the same (at best). Just rent the flowers y’all.”
